Ir. Mohd Arifin Karim
Ir. Mohd Arifin Karim is a Civil Engineer by profession. He is presently a Vice President (Technical) of KLIA Holdings Group of Companies, Board Member of a number of its subsidiary companies.
He started his career as the government staff working with Government agencies begining as Technical Assistant, Project Engineer and Head of Development Section before taking up the post of Assistant Construction General Manager, KL International Airport Berhad.
His experiences include areas pertaining to the management of professional staff and support, managing supervision of construction works, design audit and project management of mega engineering projects.
During the development of KLIA, Ir. Mohd Arifin Karim, in his capacity as Assistant Construction General Manager at KL International Airport Berhad was responsible for managing the construction phase of Airport Administration Centre, Quarantine Complex and Southern Support Facilities.
His most illustrious experience was being the Project manager in the successful completion of the New Bintulu Airport and also his involvelment in the early phase of Redevelopment of Kuching International Airport project.
He played the role of Project Directors for Upgrading of Miri Airport, New Tioman Airport, Upgrading of Pulau Redang Airport and also Technical Audit and Assessment Project of Government Building in Putrajaya and Kuala Lumpur.
He was the Senior General Manager during the planning and design stage on the initial proposal of the Seremban – Johor Bharu Electrified Double Tracking Railway Project under the Konsortium Landasan Berkembar Selatan.
Currently, he is the Project Director for Upgrading Melaka Airport and Seremban -Gemas Bharu Electrified Double Tracking Railway Project.
Prior to this appointment, he was the General Manager for Technical Services Department with KLIA Consult.
His current role as the Vice President (Technical) requires him to exercise a wide range of technical and management skills necessary to guide the company in achieving its goals and objectives.
